School Budget Elections

In April, Superintendent of Schools, John Lysko, will address your
questions and concerns related to the School Budget Election
at Budget Presentation Meetings hosted by the PTA of various schools.
If you are unable to attend the Budget Presentation Meeting in
your child’s school, please feel free to attend an alternate
meeting in one of the other school locations.

School Budget Elections will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Why is it important to register to vote and participate in the 2011 school budget election?
Every vote is a voice that must be heard!
Last year, in New Jersey schools:

  • 25 school budgets were defeated by less than 10 votes
  • 74 school budgets were defeated by less than 25 votes
  • 180 school budgets were defeated by less than 100 votes
