On Wednesday, March 16, 2011, Ocean Township High School hosted its third and final blood drive of the year. Nearly 100 students signed up to donate blood, making this drive yet another successful one. The blood goes to The Central Jersey Blood Center and is distributed to all the hospitals in the local area. Over 800 pints of blood are needed by hospitals each and every week to treat patients, and Ocean Township High School has definitely made an impact on the project. Additionally, OTHS donated blood in honor of a family who lives in Ocean Township who needs it. Students, ages sixteen and up, as well as teachers participated in the drive. It has truly become a tradition at OT, one that will not be forgotten anytime soon.
